Lane is a classically trained, award-winning percussionist, and drummer. He studied under Sherri Dees, formally of Arkansas State, and under Greg Beyer, and Robert Chappell at Northern Illinois University. During his time at NIU, Lane was a featured soloist multiple times and the principle percussionist of the philharmonic. Lane is also a highly experienced educator, having taught several thousand lessons during his time in Denver, Colorado.
Lane also works as a co-producer, light designer, and performer with The Silent Still, whose live show is best described as Rock Concert meets Cirque du Soleil meets Masquerade Ball.
